Codemark
The CodeMark Certification Scheme (the Scheme) is a third-party building product certification scheme that authorises the use of new and innovative products in specified circumstances in order to facilitate compliance with Volumes One and Two of the NCC, also known as the Building Code of Australia or BCA.
CodeMark provides confidence and certainty to regulatory authorities and the market through the issue of a Certificate of Conformity, which is one of several options available for meeting the ‘evidence of suitability’ requirements of the BCA.
GH Commercial’s Godfrey Hirst Metropol hybrid flooring range if now officially Codemark certified in Australia for use in internal wet areas like powder rooms, laundries and bathrooms with enclosed shower areas*.
This certification is the result of rigorous laboratory testing and independent analysis that demonstrates not only that our products are impervious to moisture, but also that the Uniclic® locking systems are precision machined to ensure no moisture can penetrate the joints.
Please refer to individual product pages to identify which product certifications apply to your products.
*Please refer to the Installation Instructions available on our website for full details of the requirements for installation of Metropol hybrid flooring in wet areas. Codemark certification relates to the certification of a ‘performance solution’ for the purposes of the Building Code of Australia comprising both hybrid flooring and perimeter sealing products as detailed in the Installation Instructions. Please note that Godfrey Hirst Metropol hybrid flooring is not suitable for installation in wet areas with floor wastes or falls to waste.
