Lendlease Supplier Awards 2021, Winner In Sustainability.

GH Commercial are honoured to be recognised by Lendlease for our positive contribution and ongoing commitment to reduce our environmental impact.  

For a number of years, GH Commercial have been reviewing manufacturing practices, exploring alternative processes, and challenging ourselves to design, manufacture and distribute products with reduced environmental and social impacts. As an expanding Australian and New Zealand organisation, we are also committed to supporting local manufacturing production, with a focus on delivering the best possible experience for our customers. 

A fundamental shift in traditionally considered building practices and an awareness around the part we play in creating healthier interior spaces, has led to the instigation of seven core pillars. Each pillar reflects our overarching sustainability vision - Believe in Better, and includes Material Health, Biophilic Design, Product Transparency, Product Stewardship, Resource Stewardship and Locally Manufactured. In addition, our Doing Better Together pillar maintains a commitment to support and improve our communities through a range of company and staff initiatives

A company that makes a point of hiring people who share their desire to make a positive impact on the world, Lendlease want to work with suppliers who also embody these values. Launching the inaugural Lendlease Supplier Awards in 2021, management and employees within the supply chain, were tasked with nominating suppliers from a pool of over 10,000, they considered to have gone above and beyond.

GH Commercial were delighted to be nominated finalists in the Sustainability Award category and absolutely thrilled when we won! Due to ongoing Covid restrictions, the award ceremony was a virtual event, so sadly the tux’s didn’t see the light of day, but there was still much celebrating amongst the entire GH team.   

Lendlease recognised our work towards achieving carbon neutral certification with the globally recognised Climate Active Organisation. We continuously strive to develop sustainable manufacturing practices to reduce green-house gas emissions, our mission towards a net-zero goal, along with a focus on safety and innovation, informing all new product development strategies. 

We were honoured to receive such an important accolade from Lendlease, a company whose guiding principles so closely mirror ours, and whose beliefs about the health of the planet we share. Winning this award serves to bolster our sustainability efforts and we look forward to announcing further sustainability initiatives and doing better together.
