As a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, the World’s largest flooring company, and part of the Segment Flooring Rest of the World, we are proud to publish our second Oceania Regional Impact Report highlighting our local environmental and social initiatives.
Our approach to sustainability is based on authenticity and meaningful actions which seek to improve this place for our people, customers and future generations. We capture these actions within the three pillars of People, Performance and Planet.
Within our 2023 ESG Report, we outline our united efforts globally, and draw on cases locally, across a range of environmental, social and governance issues. Some key achievements to note are we celebrate publishing our third Modern Slavery report in Australia, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to identifying, managing and mitigating modern slavery risks in our supply chain. We launched a new lighter weight carpet backing system, and published our first sustainable packaging performance summary report and action plan in 2023, committing to our responsible packaging framework and waste reduction by 2025.
In addition, GH Commercial delivered bespoke Continued Professional Development modules to our market, presented by leaders within the business. We collaborated with internationally acclaimed interior designer Lorena Gaxiola, winning Best New Product at Better Future Awards for our product collaboration.
